There is a year-long research opportunity here at HU, and we are looking for a highly motivated and active data analytics student who has experience doing data analysis with machine learning techniques, especially deep learning. This is a paid position through The Presidential research grant.
The project is titled “A Deep Learning Approach to Find the Correlation Between Addiction Behavior in Gaming and Brain Activation Using Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy”. This study will focus on gathering information from Functional Near infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) and Iowa Gambling Task (IGT) to study how prefrontal cortex brain activation and gaming addiction correlate.
